"Read Bob Spirko's Trip Report and thought I could do this one before the storm hit. The drive down in fog was a bit concerning, but the sun came out closer to Pincher Creek. Then I had enough time to summit and descend before the snow started. I did a bit of a loop and found that taking the cut line to the high point and immediately getting onto the ridge would be the best option (this was my return trip). I figured it would take longer than it did, but I had some decent crust on the snow and didn't flounder in deeper snow except when I bushwhacked straight up through the trees from the road to cut off the switchbacks. "A simple walk up the main trail in about three hours from the BC provincial park on the highway. An interesting survey marker shows exactly where the BC Alberta border is part way up the mountain. 510 meters ascent." — Jesse • Aug 16, 2017

"Mixed bag of weather (rain, light snow, sunshine, clouds) with beautiful views from the summit. Solo ascent with short sections of waist deep snow near the summit. Fantastic head on views of Sentry Mountain ascent route as well as the ascent route up Phillips Peak and Tecumseh. A very worthwhile objective for scoping out nearby peaks and when energy is low or weather is less than sure." — Mountainman • Apr 20, 2013
