"Did as part of the Powderface Ridge trail. As a minor sub-peak of the actual ridge Sunrise Hill is the more appropriate name for this outlier as it is not really a peak per say." — Mountainman • Sep 5, 2016
"I came here to investigate the pole and sign while doing the ridge. I wasn't going to but I felt like I would be disappointed if I didn't and surprise it's on Peakery so Right On!" — Randy • Apr 22, 2016
"I was confused today as I had intentions of going to a cairn with a pole and flag on Powderface Ridge hikiing from the south. This was my first time up here and what I thought was the cairn and flag was a cairn with a pole and ribbon and a sign saying "Welcome to Sunrise Hill". That location here on Peakery is called Powderface Peak. Now I am not really sure where I was!" — makingwaves • Nov 11, 2015
"A late start in the day, so a small peak. Fairly windy, but mostly sunny with a temperature between +6c and +8c all day. Only a bit of snow on the trail and even less at the summit. Kati and Myself. One section of the trail had thousands or millions of tiny insects on the snow. Some of them would jump, but most appeared to be dead. Like very fine black pepper. No idea what they are, but have included some pictures. Zoomed in, then zoomed again on the computer. Elevation gain for the day 585m, YTD elevation gain 63252m." — MtnJohn • Nov 17, 2012
"Waited all day Saturday for the rain that was forecast.... nothing! Had to get out on Sunday. Just a little one, but it rained all the way up and all the way down. No break from it. Camera left at home. A solo trip, but about 20 others on the trail. Elevation gain for the trip 450m, YTD elevation gain 36897m." — MtnJohn • Jul 15, 2012
"A quick afternoon trip. A busy trail, sunny all the way with very little wind. About 1h30m up with some long breaks, less than 1h down. Elevation gain for the trip 450m, YTD elevation gain 34983m." — MtnJohn • Jul 7, 2012
"Kati- 61 peaks since her last birthday! Some heavy wet snow falling when we started, but it soon let up, then after a brief blizzard at the summit we had very bright sunshine with no wind for much of the way down. Kati, Myself. Elevation gain for the trip 450m, YTD elevation gain 27986m." — MtnJohn • Jun 9, 2012
"Our first trip here since the gate opened. Not as much snow in the trees as last year. Most of the trail was bare except for a few inches of new snow. A cool wind at the summit but perfect temperature for hiking. ONly a few others on the trail. Kati and Myself. Elevation gain for the trip 450m, YTD elevation gain 26960m." — MtnJohn • May 26, 2012
"First time here for Jason. Went up on the big rock just to the right of the trail, just for fun. The gate closes at the end of the month... last trip here for this year. A bit cool on the summit with about 30kph wind. Jason, Kati, Myself. Elevation gain for the trip 450m, YTD elevation gain 43607m." — MtnJohn • Nov 13, 2011
"A solo trip, either to relax or to warm up before our holiday to Zermatt, not sure which. About 2 hour or less round trip, back to the car by 11:30am. Elevation gain for the trip 450m, YTD elevation gain 36822m." — MtnJohn • Sep 4, 2011
