"This is one of the most strenuous hikes in Glacier National Park. I started from the Lake McDonald lodge and the trailhead is right across the road. This is grizzly bear country so be prepared with the spray. I did not see one but their were bear warnings for the lower part of the trail. You start on the trail to Sperry chalet and then branch off to go on the trail to the lookout." — roberthaskell • Jul 17, 2014
"It's been a long time, but I recall this trail leaves Lake MacDonald Lodge and heads up to Sperry Chalet. A spur to Mt. Brown basically follows a long spiraling fire road up to the fire lookout. Great view of Lake MacDonald." — ronlouisscholl • Aug 19, 1995
