Founder of peakery. Hiker, trailrunner, skier, love moving through mountains. Started hiking up mountains as a kid in Vermont. My family had a tradition of hiking up the same mountain in my town every New Year's Day -- I was 3 the first time and went up in my dad's backpack. This exposure grew into a deep appreciation for hiking, mountains, and spending time outside. Over the years I've had great adventures with friends climbing peaks all over the US, Canada, and Europe. Usually at the end of a big mountain outing I feel satiated and content to focus on other things. But only for a while... before I realize it I'm already planning the next mountain adventure. Like a moth to a flame, I crave the sheer physical challenge -- the burn of the climb, breathing hard, really digging in and pushing myself. But also I love the grandeur of mountainscapes, sharing adventures with friends, and the fresh perspective climbing peaks gives you on the world. And of course the celebratory feeding frenzy at the end. The more time I spend in the mountains the more I realize how we all were meant to be out there. That's what peakery aims to do: get more people to go climb that mountain. I look forward to following along with your adventures on peakery.
