"we decided to do this outing before the storm hit. Had to start by fording the river, for which I used wetsuit booties. easy summit, with a lot of the trail following a quad trail. There was minimal snow on the way up (i chose to wear my approach shoes). quite windy at the summit ridge. we decided to keep going down the ridge for a two-summit day, we descended directly from the ridge summit down to the valley, fairly straightforward bushwack.
On the summit ridge, I slipped and while trying to catch myself sprained two fingers. Turns out I need new approach shoes. things vastly improved once I wore my microspikes.
