"Tried a winter ascent of Lady Mac ESE Ridge. Heavy snow on north side up to waist deep. Bailed at rock section as it wasn't clear whether it was the route or not. Couldn't be sure from 9 years ago.

"went up to Lady MacDonald. Made the false summit, decided to go along the knife-edge ridge a bit, but turned around maybe 1/3 of the way along. Dave, Mikey and Andy made the real summit.
I hate not finishing climbs.
We did decorate a tree, and sing christmas carols." — apfelstrudel • Dec 22, 2018
"I remember the first time doing this ridge like it was no big deal. But that exposure kind of gets me now. Still a great day. Ran down from the heli pad to creek in about half hour." — Randy • Jul 4, 2017
"Today I learned why this is rated difficult. Wind on the ridge made the exposure way more intense and some rain not much, more rain on descent so I made it just in time. Lots of rainbows today." — Randy • Sep 20, 2015
"Four members of the University of Alberta Outdoors Club started off their Bow Valley scrambling trip with a morning ascent of Mount Lady MacDonald. Gorgeous weather and relatively snow-free conditions allowed all individuals, including three exchange students from Germany, Ecquador, and the United Arab Emirates, to reach the true summit via the normal route. "12 hrs for a casual four from CMSC (Shu, Attila, Chris). Great ridge. Great that we did the right ridge this time.
Scramblers (4): Shu, Attila, Chris, Alex

"Solo ascent of Lady Mac on a gorgeous summer-like day. Knife-Edge Ridge is in the ideal condition. A few dozen scramblers tested their skills on the dangerously exposed Ridge on that day. Looks like Lady Mac is becoming the first "touristy" difficult scramble." — Taras • May 11, 2013
"A great day to have the mental test of this little challenge. Light winds and a mix of sun and cloud. A few others came from the summit just as we were ready to cross the ridge. Quite a few others after us and many more that went as far as the tea house. Darren, Jacqueline, Myself. Elevation gain for the trip 1300m, YTD elevation gain 34533m." — MtnJohn • Jul 2, 2012
"standard scramble route, alone. 1967 aluminum register container placed by P. Spear with numerous lightning holes on summit. Not many entries. I put up an ABS container on a bolted cable in 2006 that was still there in 2019. Did the Triple Crown of Canmore on June 27, 2015 (at age 62) including Lady Mac summit and finishing with a beer on Ha Ling." — KrisT • Jul 22, 1986
