"The approach final approach before you start to climb was very overgrown and washed out in places due to the heavy rains. The climbing route was in good condition, but with a little more than usual loose rock on some of the climbs. " — Heartattackbruce • Sep 26, 2023
"One of the craziest routes I've ever done. Sustained class 4 climbing and a couple of rope assisted class 5 climbs. The descent was a series of 8 rappels...200' being the longest and most were well over 125'. There was one multi-stage rappel on a tiny ledge as well. The route got its name from the human remains that are in the route from a German tourist who fell, broke his legs, and apparantley after realizing he wouldn'tbe rescued, shot himself in the head. One of the few remaining bones was the lower jaw bone. This was a route discovered by the world class route finder, Richard N." — acekelly • Apr 25, 2017
"Wow!!! We parked on SR159 & hiked up Oak Creek to Oak Creek Overlook, then traversed to Jawbone. That traverse was very difficult & exposed. After a couple of false starts, we finally found a way through There were a couple places where we questioned our sanity. From Jawbone, we decided to descend the steep gully to the south, which I'm not sure was really a good idea. We ran into a couple hairy spots, but made it through ok. I don't think I've done that much chimneying in my life! " — Kevin • Feb 3, 2011
