"Solo ski tour. Lots of snow for May 22nd, Ptarmigan lake still frozen and snow covered. Took Kane slopes, attached my skis and boot packed to the summit. I was able to ski down from summit ridge , very close to the summit. Good corn skiing conditions. Area deserted , Skoki lodge already shut down for the season , amazing , long trip." — Pawel G • May 22, 2022
"Couple of nights in paradise at Baker Lake campground. Awesome place! Went up some easy scrambles (except packers pass peak from Fossil Mt had some difficulties, decided to descend the normal route)." — jakefinnan • Oct 2, 2020
"Camped at Merlin meadows. In the morning headed up Skoki mountain and out Packers pass for the afternoon. After summiting Packers Pass Peak I returned to the pass where I had a snack and was getting organized for the hike out. That's when I realized I forgot my camera at at the top of Packers so I returned to get it. Good times:)" — Randy • Aug 9, 2019
"From Oyster Mountain via Jones pass.
Took the normal route behind the lodge. Good stable grey scree on the way up, and a fast descent on brown scree on the way down.
A repeat for me. Helping Liz meet her Kane goals.
We exited through Packer's Pass and got a great look at the Skoki Lakes. Highly recommend.
The walk out the fire road was never-ending.
Good, but long day. " — mike_rogers81 • Jun 29, 2019
"Long ski tour. Skied to skoki lodge and contoured up to the NW ridge, then bootpacked up to the summit. Watch out for the giant cornice on the North side of the ridge, the drop off is much steeper than it appears." — BobbyG • Feb 18, 2017
"9.5 hrs 1600m gain 32 km. A long but easy day. Avy forecast was High-High-High. It was a year of cornices. We took the skiis off out of the forest. Kick stepped up the scree to the summit. Had a scare at the summit when I suddenly fell into the cornice. Fortunately arm caught the ridge and 2 pals pulled me out.

"A great day for hiking. It was mostly cloudy with a bit of sun, a bit of graupel as well. We started out at the parking lot, biked up the Lake Louise access road. From there we hiked over Boulder and Deception Pass to the Skoki Lodge. We had a small break and made good time up Skoki Mountain. It was a very enjoyable day despite the trek being 34km long with over 1000m of gain." — BertB • Jun 20, 2015
