"Disclaimer: Trail is non existent and wildflower overgrown .... Start from about 2km in on Lineman's trail and just hike up the vert. Everything has been overgrown I could not see any semblance of a preexisting route but still very easy to find your way up. Bushwhack the wildflowers and through the previous forest everything for the most part has been burned due to the 2017 Kenow Fire; it is wonderful sight in its own right. Waterton being extremely windy cutting up towards the ridge was a challenge. Gale like winds made it very difficult to stand even with trekking poles, would recommend checking wind reports before attempting. When I held my poles from the fabric loop in the wind they were near horizontal due to winds. Even though it was +30 at the base, up there beanie, goggles and jacket were necessary. Hiked 50m shy of the true summit and tried to wait out the winds for 30min, they persisted and increased at points, ridge line walking was not worth the risk. I call it a summit in my book, but ill be back for sure to hit that last 50m. Cheers." — Blasehead • Aug 3, 2022
"Bert, Jenna and I drove down to Waterton since it looked like it had the best weather. It was windy and mildly snowy, but it was definitely worse in most other places with lots of rain. By the time we got off the mountain, things were clearing quite decently. It's too bad we didn't have the views!" — leigh-annewebster • Oct 23, 2021
"Approach from Lineham creek. Traversed to the lower, south east summit. Worth the small effort for different views.
The ruby rock was buried in snow, but travel was easy. Descended from col between (summits). Mild bushwhacking to the Akimina parkway, followed by a 1.5km road walk to car.

"Tried a different route by swinging east while part way up the Lineham Lakes trail. Swung around the corner, staying just under the cliffs. Obtained water at the highest point possible. Climbed west side of the valley. This turned out to be a difficult route due to climbing through soft scree a considerable way. Eventually climbing steepened with an easier passage through grasses. Summited on middle peak, but not enough time to go to the far east (true) peak. Proceeded west from there, climbing the western peak (scrambled up to it through ledges). Once on top, took standard route down connecting up with Lineham Lakes trail.
Talked to the owner of ? Motel in the Waterton townsite and she recommended parking at the oil city parking lot and heading up from there, catching the ridge (east side of the valley climbed above) to the top. Will try that in 2015!" — DougGHenderson • Jul 20, 2014
