"Rainy, cold and sort of miserable. Definitely bring a bike to shave off the first and last 10km. The real struggle was trying to hike up the Elbow River canyon and stay close to the water. Some parts you can but it was raging due to all the rain so we had to climb out in to the bush a few times to go around. Turn up left at the second drainage. Follow to the ridge as best you can till you break the tree line. Then its fairly obvious - straight up the final 300M. Nothing technical. " — danradu • Jul 20, 2025
"I biked first 10 km of good trail( highly recommended). I went around prominent rock flake on right side and then took first gully ( steep) to get to the first highpoint. Scenic route. From the top of the Threepoint mountain I followed SW ridge for a little bit and found escape gully without a problem. A short section of class 3 terrain with a bit of exposure on N ridge of Mt Rose ( avoidable on right) . Descended W ridge towards Cougar creek , which is scenic but a few awkward spots there. I rather recommend staying higher on the right side. Great conditions, route almost completely free of snow." — PawelG • May 24, 2025
"After an interesting drive with chinook clouds, I got started along Gorge Creek. The wildflowers are out in full force and the scenery was gorgeous. I made my way to the Bluerock/Rose col, and went up the scree. I circled left until I found a weakness and finished up. On the way down I took the walk off. Was pretty tired but still managed to mountain bike well enough not to end up in the drink. I along day." — BertB • Jun 23, 2020
