"On July 27th, we took Nugara's route up the north ridge of Mt Richards in Waterton. The route was as advertised: a whole lot of hands-on scrambling, route-finding, exposure and fantastic views. This was a really fun route and is now my new favourite Waterton scramble. We descended via the north face route down to Bertha lake and had a dip in the lake before heading back to town.

"Morgan and I agreed that rather than suffering up the Icefields Parkway for the weekend we would go to Waterton to summit Mt Richards on Sunday. So that is what happened. Pretty straight forward to Bertha Lake, and getting up on the ridge. From the ridge we were not quite sure as to where exactly the route went, we dropped over on the east side and traversed on thin ledges until we came around a corner where it became obvious where we should ascend." — BertB • Aug 18, 2019
"15.5km from parking and 18.3km in total (walked from a hotel and back) with 700m gain in 7hrs return. Bailed by the end of the lake due to some snow above and didn't want to bring a 4 year old one there.
Waited for over an hour during descent due to a rescue on a narrow trail." — alexp • Jun 29, 2019
