"Worthington and McHarg are off trail Hikes or Easy Scrambles (class2!!!), had a great time up there! Very easy to combine the 2. Loved it. Three Isle Peak is in Rockies South guidebook as a 2nd class route along the SE ridge. This is plain WRONG. It is 5th class, yes really. The route in the book is dead wrong. You must ascend to the col between Three Isle Peak and Mt Putnik first (NOT go up the SE ridge), from there it appears that the route to the summit could 2nd class, but is still probably 3rd or 4th. The traverse to Mt Putnik along the west ridge is also rated as 2nd class, it's definitely 3rd and probably has a section of 4th from the looks of things. This guidebook is frustratingly inaccurate, stuff is wildly sandbagged or just plain dead wrong. I got a great look at the "3rd class" Mt Beatty route and I am highly skeptical of that too, let's just call it 4th. We should have just gone up Mt Putnik instead of attempting this traverse, but when something says class 2, you kinda think it'll be at least doable?? What a load of crap!
