"Headed out on a last minute change of plans so I did not have time to do any research. I will admit that I do not like last minute change of plans much, but went along anyway. At times I slogged my way up.
The initial road was somewhat wrecked but there appeared to be another way up. The area has been subject to logging. We had to keep left at the fork in order to stay on route. There was some snow to punch through. It was quite windy at the top. It was sunny and somewhat warm although the wind had us eating lunch well off the summit." — BertB • Oct 27, 2018
"A bit of hiking along some forestry and ATV roads towards the Monad/Monola col, then a light bushwhack up to Monola's ridge. It was windy AF!!!! Sometimes the snow had a nice wind crust, other places your foot plunged deep into drifts. The wind..... fierce. But not freezing cold and no spindrift stinging my face, thankfully. Views were good, although not super clear to the Rockies, but the foothills were great. It was nice to see a few of the peaks I've done around there from another view, like Livingstone, Coffin, Sentinel, Plateau... I wasn't able to pick out Pasque, but I knew she was out there!
The river crossing was a cinch and I found the tree branch crossing on the way back. Feet stayed dry.
We ran into a sheep hunter who offered me/us a ride back (about 7km), but declined because I need the exercise. How else am I going to lose fat?" — leigh-annewebster • Oct 27, 2018
