"Loaf Mountain and Spionkop Ridge was a nice combo in the quiet and colourful Castle Provincial Park. The majority of the route was easy ridge strolling, with a couple of short moderate sections along Spionkop Ridge.

"Second day of the Bovin Lake backpacking trip.
After completing Spionkop Ridge we returned to Spionkop-Loaf juncture and went up Loaf Mountain. Very scenic views from the top. The brutal wind with gusts of up to 100kph made hiking challenging and stopped us from a delightful traverse eastward." — Taras • Jul 1, 2018

"Approximately 2 feet of snow fell the week before. Lots of breaking trail. Easy terrain, but tiring. Missed the colorful rock.
