"Seven of us (Olesia, Julie, Steve, Taras, Alan, Eric and I) went after Fisher Peak today! What a brutal day. Bike approach with washouts and rocks, then creek crossings, some bushwhacking and slogging up talus and scree! All the hands-on difficult stuff is right at the end just before the summit lol. Taras, Olesia and I spent almost an hour on the summit. Smoke meant there was little to see, but it cleared up a great deal on the way back. Physically, it was demanding. My feet were sore so I was glad to get back to the bike. I thought it would be harder, so that's good. The second downclimb was better for tall people. " — leigh-annewebster • Jul 15, 2023
"Fisher Peak is known for a long tedious approach and it lived up to the reputation. The scrambling starts only 700m before the summit: three major downclimbs with a few minor ones and a knife-edge ridge. Easier than we all expected, but it still goes at 5.3 as advertised. Extreme caution required as not all rock is solid. Good day in the mountains but this is the one I will never return to do again! " — Taras • Jul 15, 2023
"Great day out.
Took our bikes for the first 7 km. Went up when travel on creekside became too difficult.
The talus field was a pain, but the ridge was fun. Downclimbs were spicy, as expected.

"Wicked day out with Billy. We left the rope and harness behind and it wasn't needed. Solid holds on cruxes made for easy descent and ascent. Added a third crux on the approach up the slopes to the ridge as a warm up. Super bluebird skies with forest fire smoke to the far south and far north. Mt Joffre and Aster Lake were spectacularly clear. 31 km in 9 hrs with a 45 min detour. Bike was a godsend on the way down. We biked 14km." — alexjoseph • Aug 26, 2017
"A rough approach. The 2013 flood damage is still in full effect. Bike was most useful for coasting back down. One can coast most of the way down. Just over 13h car to car. Not bad considering I waited a bit for my partner who has minimal biking experience. I'll add pictures soon (tomorrow)." — BertB • Jul 23, 2016
