"Chilly start in minus 30C. A few cm of fresh powder the night before didn't affect the difficulty much but made the scenery so much more beautiful. Broke trail with snowshoes in the trees for a little while. No avalanche concerns as there was hardly enough snow to cover the rocks. Warmed up in the afternoon. Gorgeous quiet day with no wind at all." — antons • Feb 20, 2026
"East side route. I used bike for 6 km one way approach ( recommended) and hip waders for crossing the river ( below zero in the morning). Good horse trail leading to the meadows / bowl below the summit. Class 2 terrain , no scrambling. Fantastic weather and views. " — PawelG • Oct 12, 2024
"Day 1: Biked along very good roads through the ranch. Crossed river around 200 m West of the Warden Rock Creek; the river was around 2.5-3 feet/thigh deep and trekking poles are a must for this depth. Followed a good but narrow horse trail to high meadow. Water *very* limited. Camped near ephemeral pool around 1 km South of main meadow. Day 2: Ascended scree to ridgewalk via far Southeastern drainage. Scree somewhat loose but doable. Ridgewalk simple to summit, though with major exposure to the East. Weather was excellent with negligible wind and no snow whatsoever. Descent was fairly easy. Climbing directly in the drainage on the scree pitch led to fun scrambles and avoids some loose scree. Day 3: Final descent was uneventful. Good conditions on trails." — timothysears • Aug 15, 2022
"River crossing was just over knee deep. Some snow left on hike up to and along the ridge, otherwise pleasant but long trip with no difficulties. This peak has the best summit register." — ken_hercules • May 20, 2019
