"Great weather all the way through. Ran into so young big horns just past the treeline. As per many accounts once out of the trees there is no designated route just need to find the best way up. I opted to climb the slab section deeper in vs the tracks uploaded on other sites due to steep. Grade 3 to 4 scrambling depending on route, recommended hike for sure as its not as frequently trafficked, ran into one hiker on my decent from summit. " — Blasehead • Jul 19, 2022
"Stats are for 3 peaks. I decided to add Mt. MacKay and MacKay Hills to this trip. For the start of the scramble section for this peak, we were climber's left of the usual ascent line. This worked OK, but was very loose and required coordination to avoid sending rockfall to anyone below. We descended the usual line. The crux is as described in many reports. It's exposed and slightly awkward to down climb, but the holds are good. It's fun!" — ivo • Sep 17, 2021
"The Wedge was one of the more exposed ridges I had done up until that point. Super SUPER fun scramble. Probably up there as one of my favorites. UNFORTUNATELY I lost all the original picture files from this trip. Salvaged them through facebook but they are too small to put on here. If you are comfortable with higher end scrambling and exposure then this is the peak for you. " — Slogenstein • Jun 9, 2018
"Happy Canada day! I enjoyed this one. Continued past the summit to the end then back. Maneuvering the crux was fun, on the way back it's easier hands free even. It seem every one got mixed up/lost just above the tree line where you have to gain the ridge. Four groups including myself went the wrong way or a more difficult route first. Built some new cairns hopefully they last the summer and help guide future groups. Lots of marmots scurrying about, watched one go up a steep section to a ledge." — Randy • Jul 1, 2015
"Solo Father's Day morning workout. Up in 2:15 and down in 1:45. Some snow and post-holing on the final part of the ridge. Other than that a great morning out and nice walk in the pine forest." — alexjoseph • Jun 16, 2013
"A solo trip, first time here. A very bad thunder, lightning, much rain (soaker type in aminute) storm broke out just as I reached the summit! No time to enjoy this time... a mad dash for DOWN!" — MtnJohn • Jun 7, 2003
