"First of all, I would like to say that hiking under the gondola is not summiting Sulphur Mountain (if you hit the true summit I'm sure you'd agree). The true summit is almost 5km along the ridge from the top of the gondola. It took me all day to get this one done. There was still some snow and subsequently postholing followed. At best, there were sections with sheep trails. Happy to get this one done. I tagged on Sanson Peak, just to be sure it was going to be enough." — BertB • May 8, 2015
"A nice day for the first time here this year. The trail was well packed but not too busy. Some sun, very little wind and a temperature about -2C most of the way- a bit warmer near the summit. Darren, Deb, Kati, Myself. Elevation gain 700m, YTD 2848m" — MtnJohn • Jan 19, 2013
"Went to check out the trail. More snow in the city than most of the trail. Maybe knee deep at the summit. Sunny all day with very little wind and a temperature of -6c most of the way up. Temperature of +39 in the pool at the base of the mountain. Elevation gain for the trip 700m, YTD elevation gain 62,667m." — MtnJohn • Nov 12, 2012
"First snow trip of the fall. Just a couple inches at the parking lot and about 6 inches at the top. Temperature just below freezing all day, but no wind and quite a bit of sun. A very nice day. 1h40m to go up and about 50m to come down. The pool was closed for renovations, so I missed out on that part. Elevation gain for the day 660m (according to my GPS- second time for this reading so it must be close), YTD elevation gain 59873m." — MtnJohn • Oct 21, 2012
"A trip to get away from the +32c in the city. Started up about 10:10am and down by about 2pm. A solo trip, but many people on the trail. Temperature of around +24c all the way up and about +29 when I got down. Elevation gain for the trip 700m, YTD elevation gain 36333m." — MtnJohn • Jul 9, 2012
"First real 'warm' day. About +8c all day with almost no wind and lots of sun. Still well over a meter of snow at the top, but melting fast with days like this. First time here for Lucy's friend Randy. Considering the melting snow on the packed base, we all made good time. 1h55m to 2h10m for all of us to get there. About 1h30m down then a good hour in the pool. Lucy, Randy, Kati, Myself. Views were great in every direction. Planning for Mt Rundle as soon as the snow melts enough. All pictures from the top. Elevation gain for the trip 700m, YTD elevation gain 18955m." — MtnJohn • Apr 21, 2012
"First of two peaks for the day. About +3c all the way up with very little wind and sun when the trees permitted it. A well packed trail with just a dusting of new snow. A little slippery on the way down because of melting and traffic, with a temperature of about +5c. Darren, Kati and Myself. Elevation gain for the trip 700m, YTD elevation gain 13276m." — MtnJohn • Mar 11, 2012
"Just a bit of new snow to brighten things up. About an inch (new) at the parking lot and about 2 inches (new) at the top. A very sunny day with very little wind and a temperature between -4c and -7c all day. Kati and Myself. Elevation gain for the trip 700m, YTD elevation gain 10329m." — MtnJohn • Feb 20, 2012
"First of 3 peaks today for Kati and Myself. About -2c with no sun and now wind. 2h5m to go up 1h30m down. Another personal best for Kati... carried crampons in her pack, just in case! Elevation gain for the trip 700m, YTD elevation gain 8564m." — MtnJohn • Feb 12, 2012
"Started up (about -5c) 12:15- Summit at (about -2c) 2pm, so 1h45m- not bad for the Old Guy. Jim and Myself. Jim passed me at about the half way point. 1h15m for him. Close to a meter of snow at the top with just a light wind. Very hard packed path. Clear sky all day and not much wind. Also did Sanson Pk. Elevation gain for the trip 700m, YTD elevation gain 7050m." — MtnJohn • Feb 11, 2012
