"And peak 3,386’....Gawd that hurt....The razor sharp terrain was unforgiving. The ridge was endless. Can’t say I enjoyed it that much but the scenery of the Bowl of Fire made up for it. Sort of. " — paula.raimondi • Feb 19, 2020
"I left a birthday note for Valentina, who would be there the next day, but the other members of that 52-club hike removed the note before she saw it. Most exciting part was going up an "impassable dryfall" in Fire Cliffs. My way up South Gate is not recommended; there is an easier chute just a hundred meters south." — hwstock • Dec 1, 2015
"Took a long weekend for the holiday. Took advantage of the free time to explore a new area! Hiked up the NE Face of South Gate, which required a couple of Class 4+ moves, then took the loose NW talus slope down. Hiked across the wash and back up the West Ridge to North Gate. From there, we descended the SE gully (not fun) and hiked back down the wash back to my Jeep, which we parked at the end of North Callville Wash Rd." — Kevin • Dec 26, 2014

"Via Anniversary Narrows. Hiked up to saddle below Anniversary Peak & traversed the entire ridge. Crossed paths with a bighorn family who got really close to me. It's a great hike across the ridge! Way better than Anniversary Peak. There's some knife-ish sections & some scrambling on rough limestone. Wear sturdy, heavy boots!" — StudioHoodoo • Dec 29, 2012
