" 12.26.2020~Hoover Dam 6 pack traverse from Casino to Promontory. Solo. Uranus, Pluto, Rough Benchmark, 1,880’, “J” Hill & Promontory Peaks. 9 miles, 2,800’ gain, 4:32hrs. Epic. Jimmy went for a tunnels trail run and met me for the trail run back to my car when I was done with the traverse. Saw one Bighorn Ram along the Ridge. Not sure anyone has ever traversed this entire land mass (or would even want to) but I enjoyed it to the utmost and found it very satisfying. I consumed one toasted marshmallow gel, a Christmas cookie and 1.2 liters of water. " — paula.raimondi • Dec 26, 2020
"12.21.2020~ The Celestial Trifecta loop. Pluto, Uranus & Rough Benchmark Peaks w/ a Historic Hoover Dam Tunnels run finale.
Happy 1st Day of Winter. It felt like Spring. Laszlo brought this mini epic to my attention! Thank you! Jimmy got off work early so he joined me on this “Route du jour” Cool views of the Sentinel Island we did yesterday. Awesome and thrilling to Ridge surf on these serrated volcanic mtns. Jimmy wasn’t super happy with the intensity and visuals but he handled it like a pro. I think his exact words were... “you’re trying to kill me, aren’t you?”" — paula.raimondi • Dec 21, 2020
"We parked at the Railroad Tunnel trailhead and followed the trail to the base of Uranus. We ascended the west ridge to the summit, where there were some weird things spelled out with the talus. From there, we continued along to the saddle and ascended the west ridge of Pluto. After a short break, we went back to the saddle, then descended north back to the trail. We hiked up the trail a bit to see the tunnels, since Amber and Matt had never been there, then turned around and hiked out. This was a perfect 'easy' Sunday hike!" — Kevin • Dec 2, 2018
"A nice Sunday-morning jaunt to outer space! Uranus & Pluto peak - and yes, we made every dirty joke you could imagine about "Uranus." Because we totally went there. (Where? URANUS.) Honestly, not too difficult of a scramble, and the loose rock wasn't as bad as some other scrambles I've done in the area. Beautiful weather and a great group of friends! Plus I am learning how to use my GPS now, so I can start uploading GPX tracks! :)" — psychikingjes • Dec 2, 2018
