"I wanted to get this one done since it was my last peak out of 2nd edition ‘Scrambles’ book by A. Kane. Despite some some obscure character, it didn’t disappoint. Visited both summits. Views from it are awesome, lack of smoke and cool , crispy air helped. Very long one, bike helps. " — Pawel G • Aug 12, 2023
"I'm amazed someone else was willing to do this long haul! Special thanks to Jenna for her adventurous spirit :) We left Calgary at 6 am and got home around 11:30ish. We used bikes on the approach to Temple Lodge, which was sweet on the return. The hike in and out to Baker was decent despite the weather - it's always nice to walk on trails. The bushwhack and return along the overgrown trail in the valley was WET. My feet, socks and legs were pretty soaked by the time all was said and done. Oyster is good solid moderate scrambling for the most part and offers some good route options. From the South summit, it looks a little daunting and far away, but it was actually quite fun. Unfortunately, we got caught in a snow squall coming down from the North summit. I am tired!" — leigh-annewebster • Jul 12, 2020
"Unfinished business from a month ago...the larches were in full force so Billy and I decided to go for a wander. 39km later and nearly 11 hours we had looped Fossil Mountain and climbed Oyster South and Oyster Peak and then popped into Skoki Lodge but missed the charcuterie offering by 30 min.

"A cool, wet day.
We left the parking lot at 6:30. Temple, to Boulder Pass, to Baker Lake.
Ascended ribs to the south peak, then traversed the ridge to the true summit.
Summit before noon. Descended slabs under the summit and headed towards Skoki Mountain for our second peak of the day. " — mike_rogers81 • Jun 29, 2019
"Oof, it was a long one. 8:20am start, 7:00pm finish, 36 km covered. Conditions were pretty good except it was windier than I expected. On the way out snow accompanied the find. Three hours in the blowing snow. I'll add pictures later on." — BertB • Oct 6, 2017
"We scrambled the ridge of Oyster Peak and summited the twin peaks (no shortcutting for us).
Great weather and perfect conditions, much better than my attempt last fall (snow filled on the ridge). " — Harvey • Aug 16, 2016
"South Summit - easy scramble/walk-up. North Summit - upper moderate scramble at the summit block. Tedious traverse between the two Summit on very loose rock. Tedious descent off east slopes on slabs with scree and loose rubble.
Did it solo as a part of the triple-header Oyster-Anthozoan-Brachiopod. Made it from Lake Louise and back in one day, a very long day. " — Taras • Sep 21, 2014
"Picked a direct route to the summit. Cloudy for most of the way. Started to hear thunder on the ridge and it rained upon reaching the summit. Went down straight from the summit, picking the safest route among wet slabs. Full trip report: http://www.clubtread.com/sforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=51117" — markostavric • Jul 14, 2012
