"We were able to save some time and biked 4.5km along the Gorge Creek trail. Blue skies most of the day. Enjoyed the summit for a good 20 minutes then some clouds and wind rolled in. We started back and the skies cleared again. No larches but still some great colors." — Randy • Sep 26, 2023
"I planned to do Mount Ware but I took a wrong turn and ended up deciding to do Volcano Ridge instead. Part way up Volcano I decided to bail since it looked bland and I decided to try to reach my original objective via Surveyor's Ridge instead. Surveyor's Ridge was rather boring but the summit had great views of familiar peaks. The ridgewalk to Ware was nice. The descent from Ware was a very pleasent grassy forest. Overall a nice easy fall hike." — yuri • Oct 24, 2021
"Feli and I first went up Little Ware, then broke a trail from the junction to Mount Ware. Ware's summit was super windy. We didn't stay long. We brought snowshoes and traction, but didn't use either. It was a great day - 5:45 hrs for both mountains plus lunch and water breaks, so not a bad day! We were the only people out all day - didn't see a soul. We were the first in the parking lot and there was nobody else there when we got back. The Gorge Creek Trail was broken to the turn-off and someone had broken a trail through the treed slop to Little Ware. We ascended Little Ware first and then got a look at our approximate route over to Ware, then set off to get it. Nothing like a double-peak day towards the end of the season." — leigh-annewebster • Nov 18, 2017
