"Thunder showers were rolling in. I bailed with about 400m left to climb to the summit just a km away. The long rocky creek is slow to hike up. There is an interesting boulder canyon section after passing the cougar peak route." — Randy • Jul 2, 2025
"Mount Townsend route is almost dry. The remaining snow is not posing any serious problems.
Epic tower is a quick moderate scramble from Townsend. Mythic tower is a difficult addition on this route especially in current conditions. The steepish snowy wet slabs need lots of care to get through. The crux on Mythic is full of snow and it's not actually a bad thing but kinda helpful.
Little Mythic is a simple short hike." — antons • May 2, 2025

"The creek is slow going with large boulders to climb over that make it interesting. The slab on Townsend is super sticky and the views are unbeatable. We had perfect weather with little wind.
We also traversed across to Epic Tower and descended via scree/slab into the gully. 11hr day (29km) but well worth it." — joannaford • Apr 9, 2016
