"I hiked to all three peaks today with my wife. It was very cold and windy and near the top it looked like an ice storm had passed through. It was super interesting to watch the ice fall from the trees and cell towers as it melted." — jeffreybossaller • Feb 11, 2023
"Parked near small picnic area right off the 29. Headed up the trail to the memorial sight. Went up the right trail to take a look at the mine and link up with the service road that would take me the rest of the way up. No other hikers today but several service trucks. Large sections of the road are exposed with little to no shade. Light wind with 70 temps. Comfortable. Was able to see the recent fire damage to the hills on the east side of the 29. Did not spend much time on the summit. Total trip out and back about 5hrs." — Mtstalker • Oct 28, 2020
"It was a nice day on Mt St Helena. There are some gorgeous views of Napa County, including Calistoga and Lake Berryessa, and a great vantage of Mt Diablo.
The trail itself is a bit bland—mostly an old fire road past the first mile or so, which is much nicer. Other than some scrambly bits before the fire road, it's easy for a round trip of ten miles as the grade is very even and nontechnical." — sareine • Jun 14, 2020
"Flurries in the parking lot at about 2200ft. Beautiful powdery snowfall during ascent. Drifts up to about 1 ft. Below freezing with high winds at summit. Next to no visibility, but some clearing on the descent." — evafranko • Feb 2, 2014
