The "California 100 Classics", aka C100C. A collection of the 100 most iconic and popular peaks scattered throughout the entirety of California. Includes the most notable peaks in NorCal, Lassen National Park, Tahoe, the Bay Area, Central Sierra, Yosemite, Eastern Sierra, Sequoia National Park, Death Valley National Park, Coastal California, Greater LA area, Joshua Tree National Park, and the San Diego area. A lifetime achievement that exposes you to the breathtaking variety of Californian topography. Note: this is a very rugged challenge including peaks with a wide range of difficulty. Some peaks require technical climbing (North Palisade, Cathedral Peak), mountaineering (Mount Shasta), difficult, high-consequence scrambling (Castle Dome, Castle Peak, Mount Russell, and perhaps others), and many require off-trail routefinding. Start with the easier peaks, then only attempt the harder ones once you have the proper skills and experience. [work in progress, if have ideas to improve please email us]

Highlights
"Did a medium sized loop through Griffith Park. I didn’t attempt the grand loop to capture every peak in the park. Also, Bee Rock is off-limits the first 6 months of the year. Aside from that, I’ll do the Cahuenga - Mt Lee peak cluster on a separate hike next time around, since it is more convenient that way." — MikeTeeples • Apr 6, 2024
"Met a random person at the meadows on the 12th. They were climbing Langley. At 3am I randomly wake up, see them getting ready, and I went with. This was completely unexpected and it turned out to be the greatest thing I had done all year. Plan to do more 14ers now that I know i can handel it. "Another unplanned ascent of San Jacinto. We went up the Marion Mountain Trail to Deer Springs, and to the summit. There was about 3-4 inches of snow the whole way. My first time on The Marion Mountain Trail, and while shorter, it was steeper. And of course it seemed steeper on the way down in the dark. A great day!" — Mojavewanderer • Dec 2, 2023
"Bald and Mount U out of the Bald Mountain PA. A little cool and breezy but still shorts weather for this east coast resident. A speedy saunter up Mt U provide all the warmth I needed especially in the shady sections of the trail. Some knucklehead, most likely a car ascender, left an empty disposable water bottle on the west summit so I packed it out it. I thought I left “stupid” back in NY state but apparently it’s running loose from coast to coast. Today was the busiest I’ve seen the trail/summit on a week day, I’m assuming it’s do to coming food fest this coming Thursday, everyone is home from work and school. "Got three peaks in one. Boundary, NV and then I scrambled out the Class 3 ridge to Montgomery Peak, CA. The saddle of the ridge marks the state line between CA and NV. This was the first time I set foot back in Cali since I moved back east in 2007. This was a total grind of a state high point. Tons of loose scree. My legs are blown up from the climb.
