"Started up the South Peak, which was my third time summiting, then continued along the ridge clockwise to finish on the East Peak! While we did it the non-recommended way, we enjoyed ending the traverse by boot skiing down from Indefatigable East Peak." — leigh-annewebster • Jul 16, 2022
"Warspite-Invincible-Indefatigable-Gypsum traverse
21.5km with 2,125m gain in 11:15hrs car-to-car
Time splits as follows:
~3 hour ascent to Warspite
3:30hrs - traverse to Indefatigable (technical part; total time, with stops)
3:30hrs - bushwacking from Indefatigable East to Gypsum and parking after (even don't get me started which part was it; total time, with stops)
the rest - breaks at Warspite and both Indefatigable summits, plus moving from Indefatigable main to east peak.
I guess it easily can be the most technically difficult traverse I've done to the date. After it, Northover is just a cakewalk. Consider traverse to and from Invincible as Smuts to the 5th (or 10th) degree. I.e. it has multiple exposed climbs, and even more down climbs. On top of that, it's all loose. It might be a bit easier doing it in another direction, but I'm not sure about it.
Gypsum was a mistake. Simply not worth it. But, to bring the second car to the Lower Kananaskis Lake means waste at least 1-1.5 hour. A more optimal way is two groups moving toward each other (a radio communication is a huge benefit)." — alexp • Jul 13, 2019
"Followed standard traverse route with the bonus east peak, route is mainly clear of snow except for the bowl leading to the north summit. First summit for Joanna! Watched a bald eagle hunting below us from the east look out point and a grizzly on the drive home. Neat. " — ken_hercules • Jun 18, 2018
"Normal Kane route up to the col, scramble to the north summit and traverse to the south summit.
Saw Grizzly foraging on the upper slopes above the dried up tarn. On descent came across a group that encountered the grizzly along the trail. Snow/rain fell after lunch which made us glad we got the views in the morning and better weather

"A great year for alpine rock climbs. This was with my go to partner Chris, other wise known as "Jahnny". Wind and cloud made it spicey but great route for the Rockies. My first time in the Upper Lakes area." — alexjoseph • Jun 18, 2006
