"Cat and I hiked to Turbine Canyon. We crossed the glacier to get to the base of the mountais. We did not use the rope - small crevasses were obvious. Went up on the rock on the snowy steep slope, which looked really steep, but it was fine. Sometimes after, an attrocious scree, and slabs started: one step up, half a step slide. Cat led through some steep terrain to avoid slippery sections. Once we reached the ridge it was now great. French Guillotin section was easier going up to th summit; when comming down it felt more exposed (a bit more sloping down) - but overall not nearly as bad as I immagined." — martawojnarowska • Aug 23, 2020
"Great views - the scree bash up absolutely sucks - but makes for a quick and painless descent. We all did not agree with the "climbers scramble" rating - it was not that difficult. A nice position above the haig and smith dorrien glaciers. Solid day with some interesting events - including a heli "rescue" for my friends - which was an evacuation of the area for a bear attack on french creek trail - luckily we avoided that scenario - could have been us!
