"Quick morning scramble to Maze peak before heading back to town to bring the "tire which didn't like YHT as much as me" to the repair shop.

"It started out a bit cool and there was a light dusting of snow over the scree. We made it up the first part and just kept on going to the summit. It was a bit more challenging than I thought it would be. There was some snow that was soft and fluffy, and some snow was smooth and hard. We made it up and down, and we headed for the outlier. I made it up while my partner waited for 15 minutes once the going got tougher." — BertB • Nov 12, 2018

"Bert and I drove out to Ya Ha Tinda and went up Maze Peak. There was a section or two that was a wee bit sketchy, but it was otherwise fine. I think the new layer of snow on some of the slab and talus sections made for some slower route selection to keep it less slippery. Views were great, wind wasn't horrendous and it wasn't too cold. I didn't put the expedition puffy on at all - just the synthetic down the whole day zipped or unzipped depending on output. It's a bit of a drive out, but it was so nice and quiet - a great place to be. Not a soul in sight all day, although a few cars on the drive in." — leigh-annewebster • Nov 12, 2018
