"Pretty mellow day. Not much snow to deal with, attempted Goat as well, snow forced us into a couple 5th class sections. descended into Jura Creek, makes for a really nice walk. Minor bushwack to the creek just to keep out of some of the loose terrain. Fun day, loads of exploring can be done!" — justinj • Apr 10, 2021
"First day doing a real god rocky peak in 2020, which was perfect for today with little wind and tons of sun! Did Loder Peak along the ridge and honestly loved the ridge between the two - highly recommend doing them both in a day if you got enough energy since it only took us 35 minutes from Door Jamb to the top of Loder! Still a bit of snow up there but nothing too crazy, had a few ticks on the backpacks at the end too so keep an eye out!" — snowsurfer • May 5, 2020
"Blake, Will, Stephan and I did both DJ and Loder. Blake and I waited for 20 minutes for Stephan (Will wasn't with him), then I went ahead to Loder since Blake had already bagged it previously and I hadn't. The two guys went back looking for Will, who came along eventually. I just waited at the summit of Loder when I saw them coming over. All in all a good day. The guys were slow on the way down since they took some slab vs the nice scree trail." — leigh-annewebster • May 5, 2018
"Clouds were rolling in with some snow flakes and light winds. Didn't hang around long went for the Jura creek descent my goal for this trip. Weather cleared and it was quite warm for the way down." — Randy • Mar 6, 2016
"CSMC trip, steady pace up. It was pretty windy. The trail was pretty dry. Descended to Jura Creek. There was some snow in the descent route. Jura Creek was interesting and we walked out on ice in sections." — BertB • Feb 14, 2016
"CSMC trip to Loder Peak via Door Jamb Mountain.
Drizzle in the morning, just enough to get the rock wet. Once it finished, we got very strong wind gusts.
Was able to do both peaks but didn't even have any desire to stay there for a long time; haven't open a summit register either." — alexp • Oct 26, 2014
"Nice easy walk up to summit with a few of the more motivated members of our group. Gorgeous 360 degree views with no real difficulties encountered. Left a card in the summit container as there was no register." — Mountainman • May 11, 2013
"Amazing winter scramble in knee-to-waste deep snow on the upper section of the route. Recent snow greatly enhanced the scenery. Don't think I would enjoy it nearly as much in summer.
Lots of caution required on steep slabs covered with snow and ice. Crampons or microspikes highly recommended." — Taras • Mar 24, 2013
"What was supposed to be a short hike turned into a loooong haul up to Loder Peak and some adjacent unnamed peaks. A great day none the less. Recommend going up the back side and down the front. " — Drambuie • Jul 12, 2011
