"Porcupine Loop to Midnight Peak, with two adjacent peaks added (Baldy West & South). The added difficulty and duration to the trip is why we did the loop clockwise, so we could start with the difficult scrambling required on Baldy’s west ridge. No water on route and exposed to the sun along the ridge for the vast majority of the day. The heat got to us by the time we reached Tiara Peak." — ivo • Aug 2, 2020
"When we did West Baldy it was part of the entire 3 peak traverse of Mount Baldy. We went from West peak to South peak to North peak. West Baldy offers the more intensive scrambling of all the 3 peaks. We had a blast coming up this peak. Lots of fun scrambling up here. After reaching the summit we began our traverse to the 2nd peak. All those pictures will be in the Mount Baldy South report. This will show only the section to West Baldy." — Slogenstein • Jul 11, 2020
"Summited with Corbin during the three summit traverse of baldy. We scrambled down the main summit of baldy and ridge walked to the South summit. Meanwhile admiring the Helis flying over head from the Stoney Nakoda Casino. After reaching the South summit we ridge walked once again and made our way up the West Summit , by far the most exciting part of the trip with moderate and entertaining scrambling up and down. Descended via the gully between the south and west summits. This is a common scramblers route, it took us 4 and a half hours round trip. Then we decided since we had banked on a potentially 8 hour trip to go to Canmore and hit up Ha Ling." — TBird • Aug 20, 2016
"CSMC trip (supposed to be), ended up in solo. Decided to stick with Kane's route instead of Nugara's.
Beautiful day; an early start, didn't see anyone on the trail until headed back.
Run times:
Baldy Main - 1:15 hrs
South Baldy - 1:45 hrs
West Baldy - 2:05 hrs
car to car - 2:45hrs (3:40 hrs elapsed)." — alexp • May 23, 2015
"The route is entirely dry and we had great weather. Climbing up the slab was straight forward despite it being exposed. I felt comfortable (your mileage may vary) the entire time." — BertB • May 5, 2015
