"Jenna and I drove down to Waterton and Met Julie, Tammy and Cathie there. It was hot, dry and sunny! It actually felt like we skipped spring and went right to summer. Such a nice hike in, a wee slog up to the ridge and a great ridgewalk. I only had one tick this time! We were out for 5 hours in total and had an amazing time. Love these early season warm-ups for the bigger stuff that's coming later this season." — leigh-annewebster • Apr 29, 2023
"Took Nugara's suggested SE face and did the whole ridge. Bush was manageable. Galwey Brook was mid-calf deep, and cold. Only one aspect held snow.
Very windy.
Better than expected. Nice views of a peak under 2000m. Recommended shoulder or off-season outing. " — mike_rogers81 • May 13, 2017
"Gorgeous day for doing a light winter scramble. It was quite gusty at the parking area but by the time I'd started up the Horseshoe Basin Trail the winds had begun to diminish and the rest of the day was absolutely fantastic. It took right around 7 hours to complete going in via the Horseshoe Basin Trail and out via the fenceline trail. As I did not take the traditional route up (not that there is one) I ended up doing a steep slope scramble up the west end and then came out via the east side. There were a few minor snow slopes on the summit approach but for the most part the entire ridge was relatively bare and made for easy walking. Enjoyed a nice break in the sun just before pushing to the final summit point which was extremely windy. Overall a fantastic way to start off the first weekend of the new year." — Mountainman • Jan 5, 2013
