"A miserable day for weather. Only -8*C, but 50kmh winds gusting to 80kmh. Like the rest of the region, snowpack was a mix of deep facets and bulletproof wind slabs. Poor visibility led to some surprises with abrupt changes from powder to slab, or vice versa. Despite the elements, we had a great time. Route-finding was straightforward, and terrain was never too difficult. We skied up as far a we could, ditching our skis at about 2980m. The ridge was windblown enough to hike mostly on rock to the summit. " — ivo • Jan 26, 2023

"The traverse of Crowfoot Mountain rates as one of the most scenic trips I have done. The colourful lakes, tarns and glacier were a constant delight. From the Bow Lake parking lot, we followed Nugara's route up to the north peak and then followed it to the southern summit. The scrambling was moderate in places and the bushwhacking was minimal. There were some steep dirt sections with loose rocks on the way to the north summit, but I probably could have bypassed these if I was smarter." — geoffhardy • Aug 18, 2022
"Great ski conditions. Don't be deceived by my time. Our party had a very slow member so we were moving slowly. The canyon has many open pools of water but they are all easy to navigate around. Getting out of the canyon is more challenging due to a collapsed snow bridge. Most people use a bypass route." — Taras • May 2, 2021
