"Camped at Lake Alice, and made our ascent. WATERMELON - Took the first glacial gully on watermelon to a steepish glacier to the ridge didn't need to use an ice axe, some moderate scrambling and alot of scree. Ascent of the fin had great views and minimal exposure. Took a bypass to the left of the fin to exit onto the main summit block. went between two blocks filled with scree to summit. Descent we bypassed the bump by descending directly instead of over the fin. aimed for a section of rock that divided the glacier. Again more moderate scrambling to the lower glacier. Easy snow walking out. BOBAC- Ascended via the scree slope described in golden scrambles. Used the Gap between the permanent snow and cliffs to avoid the steepest snow. Crampons needed for final snow section. Cornice was easily bypassed. easy scramble to summit. On descent saw a scree slope that descended to the NW from the south ridge. This worked very well. great scree run, meadows and hiking from valley bottom to return to the lake. highly recommended descent. " — ken_hercules • Aug 23, 2020
