"Fun day on Wasootch. We bypassed the first narrow ridge section since we didn't feel like down climbing the notch. We regained the ridge at the notch, where we bypassed a steep buttress (a direct line would be class 5). We then regained the ridge and followed it to the summit (exposed class 3/4). We descended the hiker's route. Great views for such a small mountain, especially of Old Baldy Mountain massif." — yuri • May 16, 2021
"I have done the peak in the past and today did the ridge hike! Perfect day and the first people out on the trail, so super quiet heading out, but busy on the return. I highly recommend this one." — leigh-annewebster • May 12, 2019
"April 6 2019, an early spring scramble on a beautiful and long ridge. The snow conditions are very manageable along the entire route. We decided to make the tough decision to try descent route on the back and travel along the bottom valley back to the parking lot. While the descent posed no problem, little to no snow, the valley was still covered in knee high snow. Gaiters saved 2 of 3 of us... and we had one suffering friend, but we went to task and got out of there. Highly recommend at least waiting until May before doing the back descent route, just turn around and take the ridge back. I actually think this is still the fastest way back regardless. "I continued past the ridge summit for 3 km. The loose rock past the summit is a nice shade of brown. I wonder if its possible to scramble to the next peak, one of Mount Bryants NW peaks." — Randy • Jun 14, 2014
"A solo trip- started out with 2 others, (Lucy, Ursula) but they turned back because of wind. Summit appears from many humps along the ridge, then it ends up being a false summit- true one is about 15 minutes beyond. Time to go up unknown, 2hours to get down. A trail pretty much all the way to the summit, a bit sketchy near the summit ridge. Distance of 13.3km round trip. Very little wind on the summit and even less sun, quite windy at times on the way down. Elevation gain to summit 1293m (with all the ups and downs). Elevation gain for the day 1656m, YTD 59213m." — MtnJohn • Oct 14, 2012
