"Took Mormon trail to the first junction sign, went about 100 yards past and then up the east peak, then to the saddle the to the higher west peak. Looking down on the route, you can just go behind the mountain and there is a faint trail to get to the saddle. There are no geodetic markers that I saw" — puddlepirate • Jan 7, 2021
"Took my brother and friend up to south mountain as they had never been in the area. We started at Mormon Trail and were thinking about doing the Mormon Loop. My friend however really wanted to see a good sunset, so given the time I said we should watch the sunset from the top of Two Peaks. So we ended up doing a shorter loop around Hidden Valley Trail and checked out Fat Man's Pass before coming back to Mormon Trail and starting up to Two Peaks. The climb wasn't too tough and there's even a faint trail that people seem to take often to the top of the first peak. After letting my companions take a breather at the top of the first peak, we crossed the saddle to the west onto the second peak where the picture was taken :) " — easotelo1 • Nov 22, 2020
"Left Mormon Trail and went XC from NE part of summit. Summited both peaks and found a quail's nest full of baby chicks running around. Lots of saguaro cacti flowers due to above normal rainfall this year." — srphilip • May 9, 2019
"I started at 4 pm when my car said it was 107 degrees. I knew this would be easy and I also really took my time. It was probably the hottest I have ever hiked in. I went off trail from northeast of the peak, which was a fun ascent." — ZachTeich • Jun 2, 2018
"I guess one has to climb two peaks to claim one!
Short off-trail from the Mormon trail (Peakery actually shows a trail than is now very faint but helpful).
Summited East then West." — Gabsolute • Nov 15, 2017
"I took a little off trail detour on my way up the Mormon trail from the 24th street trailhead to hit the national trail. The tallest peak is the one to the west, but I climbed the east one and then over to the west one, just to be sure. It wasn't too bad, as far as off-trail hiking goes. I came down from the West peak to the saddle and then made my way back down the southern slope to the Mormon trail and then continued my hike on to Mt. Suappoa." — lawrencebaker • Dec 11, 2016
