"I'm going alone to La Atalaya de Cieza, after two really hot days today the temperatures are milder and a strong wind is blowing from the east. I go up the zig zag on the east side that continues along a really steep stone block channel. The luck is that it is 7 p.m. and the peak itself provides me with its shade. At the top I take some panoramic views and head to two other nearby peaks separated from La Atalaya by a small forest.
When I went down I realized that this peak projects its shadow exactly on the Cieza castle and it seems like an incredible coincidence." — franciscobirruezo • Jul 22, 2024
"It's a good day today and I decided to go to the Atalaya de Cieza, I also set my feet on the Peaks of 563 m and 541 m.
This small mountain is an authentic rock fortress quite demanding. If you mess up, they'll have to rescue you in helicopter. A trail crushes lungs up the east side, first zig zag and then there is climbing a chimney. In the upper area a small forest joins the three peaks, sitting on a stone and in the shade I have eaten a sandwich to regain strength for the descent (remember that at the top you always have 50% of the route)
I think I have suffered less than the previous time in the month of September 2017" — franciscobirruezo • Apr 27, 2019
"I come from the Peak 493 m following the red marks, the terrain does not admit many errors. The stones twist and the plants have trouble growing up here. At the top, an arrow leads directly to the cliff, it may be useful for paragliders but bad for a mountaineer." — franciscobirruezo • Jan 19, 2018
