"2.4.2021~Unicorn vibes today.....messy bun on point.
Peak 3,231’ doesn’t have a name and is WAYYYY the “frig” out there but my effort and time was worth the fight for the solitude and workout. 8 miles, 2,300’ gain, 4:38hrs~Ireteba Peaks Wilderness, NV. My 2WD Kia Soul is so mighty and got me to where I needed to be, on this jeep road, to start this trek. My street Costco tires are amazing too. These have gotten me to many 4wd places such as Mahogany Flats in DV and Locked gate in the White Mountains of California, without a flat....knock wood. Twas was a windy day but in these warm canyons, it was pure bliss. It tossed me about on the ridge but I surfed on through it like a champ. The summit had the best view of the ginormous Ireteba Ridge and glorious views of the Colorado river.
