"2.21.26~Mount Stocker & Stalker. 5.3 miles, 1,800’ gain. I haven’t done Stalker in a little over 6 years. I rigged up similar protection method as before but made a more hearty & stable cheater stone pile. I didn’t have a memory of it having a reg but I have past photos that show there may be one. I saw a lump near Stalker that had cairns atop but forgot to look for a reg there. Darn. May have to go back and bring one and/or investigate more. I also think I can go up and over Stocker because it has a rock spire next to it on the east side that I think I can outstretch my leg to. I tippy~toed closely past an angry behive below and on the way to Stalker. Luckily they didn’t notice me. This route is rough and was rough on my body. I wasn’t feeling spry. I tried on the blue bathing suit top today. It still fits!" — paula.raimondi • Feb 21, 2026
"1.19.2026~Bridge Springs, Mount Stocker & the Arch w/Daughter Autumn. 4.7 miles, 1,400’ gain in 3:08hrs. My first time actually going to the Arch. I thought is was going to be bigger than it was. So fun sharing this area with my girl. She’s off to college this Fall so I’m savoring every memory we make until then. Pretty day. Warm with cool breezes. The peak sees few visitors. My 1st time up was 2017 w/Harlan. Time flies. " — paula.raimondi • Jan 19, 2026
"12.5.19~ Bridge Spring Arch, Mount Stocker(#2), Mount Stalker & Pigs in Zen (#2)~3 peak solo tour. 6 miles, 2,200’ gain. Thanks Harlan for the Beta and strategy for setting up protection webbing for the class 3 Boulder Summit of Stalker.....and for letting me Stalk Stalker. Beautiful area but extremely hard to trek through. I just took my time at a touring pace but still made it for kiddo school pickup. https://youtu.be/z64UpTjpMtc" — paula.raimondi • Dec 5, 2019
"I had seen this from Stocker, and noticed it was ambiguous is Stalker was higher. The true summit is a boulder with a class 4 move. Paula saw my post and went the next day. Hence the name." — hwstock • Dec 2, 2019
"Harlan let me tag along on his hike today in the Eldorado Wilderness. We Bagged 3 Cool Peaks including the Wilderness Highpoint. Lonesome Peak, Pigs in Zen and Mount Stocker. This is a Beautiful rugged area that I always see from BC but have never visited. Amazing trek. " — paula.raimondi • Dec 12, 2017
