"Best butt slide in the Rockies. Used strap on crampons and an ice axe for the ascent and it made it very straightforward. Avoid the steepest snow by some moderately difficult scrambling sections. Saw a black bear behind me by a couple of hundred meters on the ascent. Luckily I did not run into it on the way down. Enjoyable solo ascent. " — ken_hercules • Jun 8, 2021
"10.6km with 1,500m gain in 4:50hrs return
Snuck out before work.
Up via ledges to the ridge and down on frozen scree.
Route mostly dry except middle of the bowl that still has very firm snow. Didn't glissade and it was barely safe to go down in spikes, crampons would've been much better. Practiced self-arrest a few times though." — alexp • Jul 14, 2020
"raining in the morning. fog and snow on the upper section. ended up too far to the right a we couldn't see the summit. glissaded down. a great day despite ending up wet and never getting a view" — MarkJPerkins • Jul 3, 2018
"Very nice snow climb in the early season. We ascended 400 vertical meters on the snow in the drainage. Could have done 300m more had we taken the middle gully. We went too far to the left and ended up on some unpleasant rubble. We descended the "normal way" which offered great scree skiing but I wouldn't want to go up that way. " — Taras • Jun 2, 2018
