"Mt. Engadine, May 20, 2023, Kane Difficult Scramble. Route is fully dry, although we did not take the alternate descent due to some snow still in that gully, we took the ridge back (it's a solid difficult in reverse!). Took quite a while to back track, pretty tedious just about the whole way, my ankles are tired. Bushwhack was pretty light. Ridge scrambling was fantastic, as were the views. The final 200m treadmill to the summit felt like 1000. I cannot believe how little snow there is for this time of year, pretty sad. Ticks were out, found several. Lots of photos of nearby objectives, have a look. Took 10 hours, a bit longer than expected. 11.5km 1400m gain." — jakefinnan • May 20, 2023
"Another warm day. Two days of fist-bumping The Fist from different summits. Scrambling on the ridge was good. The usual amount of loose material, debris, rubble, scree, and Talus.
We had a bit of a concern, a 600kg rock (more or less a cube) decided to come down on its own while we were in a descent gully. Luckily it decided to stop above us." — BertB • Aug 21, 2016
