" On ascent, the first downhill section from Jumpingpound mountain's main summit the postholing was unavoidable. The remainder of the Jumpingpound ridge was snow free. As long as you stayed on the sunny side of the ridge, no problems! Snow in the shade was thigh deep." — Randy • Jun 1, 2021
"Ascended Jumpingpound Mountain in 1h 15m, attempted to summit Moose Mountain proper, but turned around at North Peak due to high winds and time constraint (ran out of day light)." — yuri • Nov 15, 2020
"If reaching Moose Mountain via the fire road seems too easy/boring, you can spice it up by proceeding to North Peak. The route is listed in M. Potter's "Ridgewalks in the Canadian Rockies" (p. 101), but it's obvious from Main Peak/ Fire Lookout - follow the ridgeline NW, steering left to bypass cliff bands. Easy scramble with no exposure in dry conditions. Ice-axe recommended if there is much snow." — Taras • May 26, 2013
