"Summited via ridge line. Tyrwhitt is a boring scree slog with a cool hole in the ridge to look through. Originally wanted to traverse to poceterra as well but between 5’ of visibility and rain decided to go home " — Rocky Mountain Goats • Aug 24, 2022
"Highwood Ridge > Grizzly Ridge > Mt. Tyrwitt > Mt. Pocaterra > Pocaterra Ridge. Solo mission for 5 peaks. Highwood, Grizzly, Tyrwitt we’re straight forward with no complications other than a scree slog up Tyrwitt. One group above was unintentionally sending a lot of rock down the face. The ridge to Pocaterra was long and relatively fun. Great views the whole way. Route finding on Mt. P was the only real challenge. I ended up climbing some exposed sections that I may have avoided if I read up more beta beforehand. Descending the east face was interesting. You pretty much go the where you don’t get cliffed out, trending to skiers right. I then crossed a snow patch at the top of the valley to gain the western flank of P Ridge. There were enough game trails to make some sidehilling bearable. the return trip through the valley was enjoyable. A creek was perfect to cool off and refill my water. I love this area for the minimal approach time below treeline. It was a quick 3km to warm beers in the parking lot! I’d do this one again. Not this year though. " — ivo • Jul 30, 2022
"A CSMC trip. This was advertised as a beginner trip, but since the attendees are seasoned veterans, we stepped it up a notch. From the parking lot straight up. We took more challenging options and some diversions. Once at Grizzly Ridge we took the tourist route out. See my entry for Grizzly Ridge for the pictures." — BertB • Aug 9, 2020
"Missed the turn-off for Pocatera and ended up doing Highwood Ridge with some experienced scramblers. Great day. The weather was all over the shop; snow, rain, sunshine, wind. " — Danger • Sep 5, 2016
"Easy scramble from the highpoint of Grizzly Ridge. The traverse looks much more serious than it really is. Easy descent to Highwood Pass.
Brutal wind gusting to 100km per hour slowed our progress substantially. I have to repeat it on a sunny windless day." — Taras • Oct 4, 2014
