"This was probably one of the shortest, favorable routes to summit both Endless and Capuchin Peaks. It looks like every route up to Endless Peak is going to be loose and very steep. The route we took went up the ridge line that runs from Endless Peak down to the Narrows. We could have stayed on the steep ridge line from the beginning, but felt that it would be better to side traverse and gain elevation. It worked out great for us. Nice 4ish mile scramble with some beautiful views. " — Heartattackbruce • Jan 16, 2024
"We took Class 3 route ascent to Endless Peak, which was perhaps more interesting than the standard route. The descent to the pass and ascent of Capuchin Peak was uneventful and tedious. Class 2. " — Taras • Mar 23, 2023
"Kidney Pain Hike, Anniversary (Narrows) of sorts. First came here in 2007, left a register with name "Endless" (register disappeared before 2017). I wanted to try a different route. The "new" road in was OK except for some really significant washouts. Came down very steep slabs, much better than talus." — hwstock • Mar 6, 2023
"4-5 of the miles are the approach/ return . Peaks are nice I overshot the route up to endless and ended up doing some sketchy climbing for a couple hundred feet. Was pretty fun." — joshortman • Feb 2, 2023
"Wind was the word of the day! I drove out the West end Wash Road (really deep sand & gravel right now) to the spur road that cuts over toward Anniversary Narrows & parked by Slabs peak. I thought I might try that one too, but the wind was obnoxious, so saved it for later. I hiked up a wash to the rocky west ridge & followed it to the summit. This peak is in a local peak book, otherwise no one would pay attention to it. It's really just a big mound. But, it was nice to get out before the weather gets worse this afternoon. Got the great news about the election in a text while up top." — StudioHoodoo • Nov 7, 2020
"We had some lower than normal temps this weekend, so I wanted to sneak in another low-elevation hike before the temps get well over 100. This route was pretty easy, never getting over class 2. The breeze along the summit ridges was pleasant and the temps were fairly mild, as forecasted. " — Kevin • May 24, 2020
"2.29.2020 Leap Day, Capuchin Peak and recovering a weather balloon w/Jimmy. 6 miles, 1,700’ gain. We had some navigation issues and ended up in a mine area but it was interesting and adventurous. As I said yesterday, this terrain is so painful and sharp and I’m very OVER it but I have a few more projects out here so I’m trying to hang in there! We retrieved the NWS balloon I found yesterday and will send it back in the mail as per instructions on the package. Jimmy made this funny video of our day.
