Pretty standard anti-clockwise round in windy, crystal clear weather with unlimited visibility. Old guidebooks have this walk starting at the farm but now a newIsh walkers car park close to the A82 adds bonus distance to the day. Excellent views of the Blackmount and Rannoch Moor across to Ben Nevis, Mamores + Grey Corries. I made quick progress on top thanks to easy short grass (ideal for fell runners; a few went past today) then took the direct pathless descent variation to the railway bridge which worked well, saving time and distance compared to the way most folks go. Three stiles get you over deer fences then below the somewhat decrepit railway bridge I picked up a pleasant old path through the woods which is becoming faint and overgrown with brush and bracken due lack of use nowadays.

"Cairngorm Club Bridge of Orchy Meet. With three fellow members. From Achallader Farm. We walked up the track in the valley of Water of Tulla until it crossed the Water of Tulla. Then we went up the hillside, across the railway, to strike Meall Buidhe about NN363443. There was a strong wind towards the top. We kept out of the wind as far as possible by dropping slightly to SE. Beinn aʼ Chreachain was reached and then Meall Buidhe (the wind was not so bad). Continued to Beinn aʼ Chreachain and Beinn an Dothaidh before descending to Bridge of Orchy. Snow underfoot on the tops." — peter43 • Oct 11, 1981
