Pretty standard anti-clockwise round in windy, crystal clear weather with unlimited visibility. Old guidebooks have this walk starting at Achaladair farm but now a newIsh walkers car park close to the A82 adds bonus distance to the day. Excellent views of the Blackmount and Rannoch Moor across to Ben Nevis, Mamores + Grey Corries. I made quick progress on top thanks to easy short grass (ideal for fell runners; a few went past today) then took the direct pathless descent variation to the railway bridge which worked well, saving time and distance compared to the way most folks go. Three stiles get you over deer fences then below the somewhat decrepit railway bridge I picked up a pleasant old path through the woods which is becoming faint and overgrown with brush and bracken due lack of use nowadays.
