Highlights
- The crux is pretty easy for the second person; it is easily top-belayed, is "safe"-feeling, and the crack is about the width of a boot in many places.

"After navigating through spotty snow and ice we got to the base of the final climb up to the summit. The climb would have been sketchy under the conditions. We chose not to summit. We did do 5 other Towers (1 new one - Scorpion Tower) on the route. Bummer, that there was no Beer but there was ice...lol!" — Heartattackbruce • Jan 24, 2023

"We set out with the intention of getting Amber & Susie up to the top of Beer and Ice Peak, since they needed it for their Las Vegas 100 Peak Challenge list. Also, I had some beta for a bonus peak, Black Tower, which I wanted to try on the way up. As another bonus, one of our party knew of some dinosaur tracks in the area that I really wanted to see. We headed for the dino tracks first, which were AWESOME! After that, we got onto the standard route to Eva's Tower and followed that to the base of Black Tower. This was a difficult technical climb up a vertical wall aided by a single fixed rope hanging from the summit. We each made our way up and signed the existing register before handlining back down. After that, we headed up to the base of Eva's Tower, which is where we would turn off towards Beer and Ice. Since we were so close, we made the short scramble to Eva's first. Between Eva's Tower and Beer and Ice there is Johnny's Tower, which requires another exposed 4th class climb to reach the summit. We each did the climb and signed that register as well. Now on to the main objective! Sadly, we were starting to run out of daylight. We got to the base of Beer and Ice, whe..." — Kevin • Nov 18, 2017

"What a day!!! Mike, Richard & I took the standard route up to Eva's Tower. From there, Richard & I scrambled down to Mike's Tower, since neither of us had been there before. After hiking back up to Mike, we all continued up to Johnny's Tower, then finally up to Beer & Ice Peak, which was the most difficult & exposed of them all! Awesome hike!" — Kevin • Apr 19, 2015

"Went up/down Gully 3, also Eva's and Mike's. With CP and DB. Exposure, one class 4 crack. The crux looks scary in these photos, but if the lead climber establishes a top belay, it is very safe for those who follow." — hwstock • Oct 15, 2014
