"I started hiking at the trailhead at 8 AM. Then we started climbing up the trail and passing all of the lookouts on the trail. 3/4 of them we climbed for amazing views into the valley where we started. Then as we climbed up further we got views of Glass Dome and the summit of this hike. hen we climbed up to the summit of Tom's Thumb. It had signs for the summit and some amazing views. For more amazing views, we also hiked to the Lookout so that we could see the whole Phoenix Metro area, Cave Creek and the surrounding areas, and the highpoints of Maricopa County, and maybe Blythe in California. There was also a sign at the top of The Lookout, and the hike to The Lookout had amazing views of Tom's Thumb and Cave Creek's Valley. " — lc444 • Jan 2, 2024
"This trail was 4 mi, out and back trail. I enjoyed that you kept going over and around another hill, and never knew what you were going to see on the other side. Flowers were blooming yellow and purple/pink for early Spring, and the view at the summit is really great. You have to sit and take it in for a bit. We did see a rattle snake crossing the hiking path, this was later in the day about 4pm. Wear good hiking shoes." — nikkirogers • Apr 1, 2020
"My first time lead climbing, and the routes are seriously sandbagged! Climbed the easiest route up twice taking turns leading- West Corner, 5.2.

"Alex led a second climb up Krueser's Route 5.4. He was surprised to learn it wasn't a 5.8 when we were done.... seriously old school ratings....
