"Ken flew Amber & I into Cottonwood for the weekend to hike with Jessica. We picked Bear Mountain. The hike was beautiful, but cold. Once at the end of the trail, we made the agonizing bushwhack to the true summit, Bear Mountain North. We returned roughly the same way." — Kevin • Dec 18, 2021
"What do you do when you get to the trailhead and realize that you left your hiking boots back at the hotel? The answer is: you do the hike in your Uggs. That's right. The trailhead did fill up by the time we came back down (and ..." — psychikingjes • Dec 18, 2021
"A pleasant hike to lower South Peak of Bear Mountain. The true summit (North Peak) is apparently a viewless one-mile thorny bushwhack that no one is inspired to endure for extra 30 feet of elevation gain. Close enough for me." — Taras • Apr 10, 2019
"Day hike in Sedona to the top of Bear mountain. The psychological challenge of the several false summits were almost as tough as the climb itself. A great hike - the views are spectacular! " — lawrencebaker • Sep 11, 2016
