"Park your car in the village of Mojácar, on the road leading to El Picacho—the mountain crowned with telecom equipment that towers over the town. From there, follow the dirt track on the right, which climbs steadily towards the heights of the Sierra Cabrera. The trail is a beautiful walking path, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and the white village of Mojácar below. Eventually, it brings you to the base of Risco del Moro. From this point, you ascend a steep ridge that leads all the way to the summit. On the return, I took the northern route past Unnamed Peak (648 m), but lost the trail. The way back was difficult, forcing me through dense maquis and tangled greenery as night began to fall, until I finally reached the only exit from the plateau down to Mojácar." — belgianIbex • Dec 8, 2025
"Park your car in the beautiful Mojacar village on the road which leads to the El Picacho (the mountain with all the telecom equipment on top which dominates the village). Take the dirt track on the left which brings you uphill to the Sierra Cabrera heights. Beautiful walking path with stunning views on the Mediterranean sea and the white village of Mojacar. The path brings you to the base of Risco del Moro. From here you climb to a steep ridge which leeds to the top. Medium difficulty." — belgianIbex • Dec 15, 2024
