"Next to the river there is a path that passes under the abandoned viaduct in the direction of the campsite, there are many paths that lead to private farms so it is advisable to use the GPS or ask a neighbor. Some slope is quite strong. The reward for the effort was to see a 16th century hermitage where we could eat something under the shade of the cypress trees. When we return, we pass over the viaduct that is now the greenway, to the village of Guadalupe. " — franciscobirruezo • Feb 24, 2021
"Circular route that starts from the Village of Guadalupe and continúes along the Guadalupejo River to reservoir. Along the river the poplars and chestnut trees have not yet sprouted. Bordering the dam on the right , the path begins to ascend to return between pines and cork oaks to the Monastery of Guadalupe, a World Heritage Site. " — franciscobirruezo • Feb 23, 2021
"I am lucky to live near this mountain and I come to it on foot. The views of the Mediterraneo and Bahía del Hornillo are good. It serves as physical and mental training, I also manage to disconnect from the telework that I do from home doing engineering projects. I am wearing new boots and I have to shoot them because my idea is to return to new goals when the mobility restrictions are lifted by Covid, in fact you cannot leave the municipality." — franciscobirruezo • Jan 20, 2021
"It is a cool morning and we decided to go to the Path of the Hammer near Ulea, it is close and we have other things to do today. However we need air and sun and above all to move our legs to be in shape. At the beginning of the route we see the nearby Ricote Valley, the ascent is constant and continues like this you have to take it easy. We come across a group of hikers who begin the descent and we give way to them while we exchange a few words with them. We look for a leeward area in the upper part to regain strength with a lunch and just at that moment we see a couple of eagles that fly over their territory, we are just passing through." — franciscobirruezo • Dec 16, 2020
"Sunny day in December, we still cannot leave the province but we must see the positive side, we can get lost in a territory of 12000 square km. We have come to this area to see our family and we take advantage of the morning to walk outdoors without masks or restrictions. In Germany for example they are applying a harsh confinement right now, also in France. The route is pleasant with areas of pine trees and others of scrub. We see many walkers and cyclists who also need fresh air and freedom. After reaching the top of the hill we looked for a place to meditate and have lunch while enjoying the silence under a blue sky." — franciscobirruezo • Dec 13, 2020
